On the night of 9th of January 2011, almost 59 people in total from our explorers unit descended on Picasso’s Italian restaurant in Whitley Lodge for a slap-up three course meal with our fellow scouts.
Despite the post-Yule time
date, the outing was a great success.
“I had the lasagne…mmm,
sublime” exclaimed Graham, reminiscing nostalgically. Both explorers and
leaders were treated to a variety of foods including: Potato skins, soup,
garlic bread, Spag Bol, calzone, pizza and for dessert there was the choice
between ice cream and cream flavoured ice.
“…and the ice cream was
actually alright” said Andrew, in a generic manner.
